LEAP’s Nicaragua Itinerary

 

Sunday, June 23rd – Arrival Day

 

11:20 am – Arrive in Managua via Houston

1:30 pm – Lunch at Cocina de Doña Haydé

2:30 pm  – Leave to León

7:30 – Dinner with family

8:30pm – Relax

 

Monday, June 24th – La Salle and Alianza Day

 

8:00 am – Breakfast

9:00 am – Go to AA and introduce you to staff and students, get to meet our mission, programs etc

12:00 pm – Lunch

1:00 pm – Leadership Tour Begins

3:00 pm – Invite AA students to conference

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Begin LEAP training

7:00 pm – Dinner with the family

 

Tuesday, June 25th – Chinandega Day

 

7:00 am – Breakfast

8:00 am – Visit to Rubén Darío School in Chinandega

9:30 am – Visit to Behelemitas School in Chinandega

11:00 am – Invite and deliver our Leadership message to AA students

12:00 pm – Lunch at Rostipollos/Pizza María Restaurant in Chinandega

2:00 pm – Invite AA students in Chinandega

3:00 pm – Leave Chinadega

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Continue with LEAP training

7:00 pm – Dinner at house

 

Wednesday, June 26th – Radio, TV, Schools, Shopping and Cathedral Tour

 

6:00 am – Radio Interview on Radio Darío

Oscar’s comments: The radio interviewer will ask you the following: “Who is visiting AA now? How do you feel in Leon? What is the purpose of your visit in our country? It will be a 10 minute interview in the morning news broadcast. I will go with you and I will introduce you. I’ll also invite people to attend our Talent show at Chinandega. Speak a little about our programs.

9:00 am – TV interview on Channel 9

TV interview has same format as radio interview and be a 10 minute question and answer session.

1:00 pm – Visit to San Ramon School in Leon

2:00 pm – Cathedral Tour in Leon Central Square

3:30 pm – Leave square plaza

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Continue with LEAP training

7:00 pm – Dinner at house

 

Thursday, June 27th

 

7:30 am – Breakfast

10:00 am – Radio interview at Doble L Radio

2:00 pm – Visit to Bautista School in Leon

3:00 pm – Visit to La Asuncion School in Leon

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Continue with LEAP training

7:00 pm – go to the movies

 

Friday, June 28th – Leadership Conference and Talent Show

 

7:30 am – Breakfast

9:00 am – Leadership Training on Resilience at Alianza Americana Leon

12:00pm – Lunch

1:00 pm – Leave Leon to go to Chinandega

2:00 pm – Arrive at Alianza Americana Chinandega

3:00 pm – Leadership Training on Resilience at Alianza Americana Chinandega

5:00 pm – Get ready for talent show Chinandega

6:00 pm – TALENT SHOW CHINANDEGA DILECTUS

10:00 pm – Head back to Leon

 

Saturday, June 29th – AA Training Day

 

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Continue with LEAP training

12:00 pm – Lunch

1:00 pm – More LEAP training

Oscar’s Comments: We will divide in 3 different groups according to our level of leadership capacities. I see a leadership training split in three different groups: 1) First group: administrative personnel 2) Second group: Teachers 3) A LEAP team (training OF trainers program).

4:30 pm – Finish Alianza Americana

7:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Dinner at El Carbon. Our little “despedida time” (farewell time)

 

Sunday, June 30th – Finish LEAP training and Beach Time

 

8:00 am – Breakfast

9:00 am – 11:00 am – Finish LEAP training as required

11:00 am – HEAD TO THE BEACH

12:00 – Lunch

6:00 pm – Stay until sunset

Monday, July 1st – Departure
