I am Mugarura Innocent. I am Ugandan aged 22 years. I am an orphan and live with my 4 brothers and 2 sisters. My dad died in 1998 and my mother followed two years later. We were left with nothing and right now I am the only person taking care of my family.
Getting a loan from LEAP microfinance will enable me enhance my business and grow it. I deal in selling car batteries. The little profit I get I share it among my siblings. The loan will enable me acquire more profit thus saving some and growing bigger.
I live in Kampala Nsambya parish. All along I have been living in a life of gambling. I started with selling marwa(local brew). During that time, I met a good Samaritan who sponsored me for a tailoring course for one year. From then I started tailoring clothes. This business has helped me educate my children. I am looking after 10 children. Each day the task becomes more difficult and wonder if I can go on. Some have go on to university which is very expensive. With the loan from LEAP microfinance I hope to expand my business, buy a design machine and generate more profits to sustain my family and I.
I am a farmer and also poultry breeder. I grew up in a farming family and then later I entered the farming business. I married a man who is a construction worker. Unfortunately with our economy there is little jobs for construction so he may spend like 5 months with no work. We have 5 children and face a problem of sending them to school because of little funds. I have a chicken farm. But the problem I face is that the chicken feeds are very expensive. With the loan from LEAP microfinance, it will enable me stock enough food for the chicken and thus getting the proper output increasing my profits.
I am a mother with 3 children.I have 2 sons in senior six(12th grade) and a daughter in senior two(7th grade). I earn a living by doing small business of selling earings,dresses for women and material for making dresses. I sell these to different people by moving around on bare feet with my merchandise (Hawking). With the little profit I get from this business. I pay rent and school fees for my children hence remaining with nothing for food,medical etc. Getting a loan from LEAP microfinance will mean I have more capital hence more products to sell and my profits will significantly increase enabling me to save and also pay other bills.
In 1987 because of Kony war I left Nothern Uganda(Gulu) and migrated to central Uganda(Kampala). Since then I have struggled to make ends meet. I created a group with my friends to help each other out but with little capital no sooner had it started than it collapsed. I then ventured into making paper beads and crafts to sell. Through this business I have been able to pay school fees for my children, I cannot pay for those who have gone on to the university because its expensive. I have a lot of demands in my business and thus with the loan from LEAP microfinance I will be able to facilitate those demands and make a little profit to save.
I married a man who after getting me pregnant and giving birth to three children. He ran away as he could not fulfill his responsibilities. Since then my life has been in so much agony. I never went to school. I had no where to begin from but all bills were looking at me. I started a saloon with a comb and my hands. Little by little it has been growing. Though I can not reinvest back into it as the money I make is spent on the kids. LEAP microfinance loan will significantly help me as investing in the business will boost my earnings.
I am a single mother with 3 children. I am the head of the family as my husband abandon me and my kids. I own a small restaurant and cook food to earn living. With the food business less capital means less earning as you can not be able to serve customers,if you have less food. My life has been full of negative events,neglected and left like that. LEAP microfinance project,will enable me be able to buy various food stuffs so that my menu has variety and attracts customers. This will boost my earnings and profits.
I am a widow. I lost my husband in 2001 because of AIDS. Since then a big gap was left as I had no one to help me and my kids. My family was rejected by the family of my husband and so we were left to fend for ourselves.I have done many business to sustain my family and send my kids to school. It has not been easy though. Now I am having a business of making paper beads .With this business I have earned little profits with the little capital that I put in. Getting more capital will enable me break even and expand my business.
I am an orphan and a young entrepreneur. When my father died,my mother told me that there is nothing she can do to feed us,take us to school or hospital. This is when it hit me that I had to do something for myself. I borrowed some money and began making juice. With the little profits I acquired,I ventured into cooking food. Through doing this I started paying for my self tuition and now I am back in school. I recently started a bar business and with the loan I will be able to set my business running.
I dropped out of school because my mum never had money to pay for me to continue. I have a kid who I also pay for his tuition.I am a teenage mum. I left my husband after suffering with a lot of abuse. I am naturally good at using my hands. I recently started a saloon business but need more equipment to help me run it smoothly. The Loan will help me buy more equipment and expanding my saloon business.
